Feeling unsure about SEO? Here's a few common questions.
This accordion is hidden to ensure all accordion items are closed. By default the first tab is open.
We start off each of our SEO packages with an in-depth review of your site at present, so we have a good starting point to go from. We take a look at a wide range of factors, beginning with a technical audit to establish any areas of concern technically with the site. This may be broken links, broken pages, and all those things that can cause a user to leave your website and look elsewhere.
Plus, things like the speed of your website can also affect your ranking in search engines, so we can ensure its running at its best.
We like to keep things simple, so we’ll never try to baffle you with SEO jargon (as geeky as we may be). But on page SEO refers to everything, well, on the page.
This could be optimising heading tags, meta descriptions (the little bit of text under the meta title that users see in search engines) or adding alt text to imagery and monitoring its success. We’ll then revisit these areas and constantly seek improvements to boost your SEO.
Technical SEO relates to your website’s performance. We’ll keep on top of load speed, which may mean compressing and optimising images and reviewing the structure/layout of your pages.
Put it this way, if your site loads slowly, is filled with broken pages and/or broken links, you’re going to lose rankings and users.
Search engines are always changing and getting smarter, plus, you’ve got competitors to keep up with.
A lot of the work we do is monitoring, tweaking and improving your website, both in technical aspects and the copy your users will read. We then spend our SEO ‘hours’ where we deem to have the best opportunities for your brand. This could be creating landing pages for specific locations (let’s say you operate in Southampton as well as the Isle of Wight, we would create two pages for starters to try snap up some of that traffic), writing long form blog content or adding to FAQs.
Believe us, there’s plenty to do.
In order to build authority in search engines, it’s important to work on your backlink profile. We’ll seek out places to insert backlinks for you, whether via sponsored articles, guest posts or citations.
Of course! We’re always at the other end of the phone. You’ll also have a dedicated account manager who you can email or call at any time for advice. They’ll also give you regular updates and check in with you just to see how things are going your end and to let you know what we’ve been up to.
If you’re looking for super quick wins, SEO might not be for you. However, it can depend on the difficulty of the keywords you’re looking to target. Generally speaking, websites can see results in 4 to 6 months – however, SEO results continue to grow over time.
We’ll always give you the best advice regarding keywords to target, as while a term with 500k searches monthly might seem great, these over populated terms might not quite deliver the traffic your brand needs.
We certainly can. We work in web design, strategy, copywriting and content marketing. Simply drop us a line and let’s chat.
