Caswell Equine Supplies is dedicated to providing high-quality equestrian products to riders, stable owners, and horse enthusiasts across the UK. With a deep-rooted passion for equine care, their goal was to simplify the shopping experience for their customers, offering everything from essential horse wear to stable equipment through a seamless, reliable online storefront.

Challenge

While Caswell Equine Supplies had a loyal local following, their online presence wasn’t reflecting the premium quality of their products. The equestrian market is highly competitive, and their existing website faced two major hurdles: it wasn’t ranking for the high-intent keywords needed to attract new customers, and the user experience (UX) was making it difficult for visitors to find and purchase the products they needed.

They needed more than just a website refresh; they needed a digital strategy that would turn their online shop into a high-performing sales engine. How could they bridge the gap between their expert knowledge and their digital visibility? We stepped in to overhaul their SEO and refine the user journey.

Our strategy

When we first began our partnership with Caswell Equine Supplies, our priority was an intensive technical audit. We identified that while the products were exceptional, the site architecture was holding them back. We implemented a multi-layered strategy focused on technical SEO, high-quality content creation, and a UX-first redesign to ensure that once a customer landed on the site, the path to purchase was effortless.

After closely examining their existing website, we established a number of points that needed our immediate attention:

  • The website’s structure was too confusing, with products falling into multiple incorrect categories.
  • Some products had incorrect codes, details and pricing.
  • Navigation was confusing, with a crowded menu causing users to bounce off their website in seconds since they couldn’t find what they were looking for.
  • Important information wasn’t visible enough, such as phone numbers, shipping information and address details.
  • Their website had no way to gather information for email sign-ups.
  • Many, many links were broken, causing poor user experience.
