About the client

A specialist healthcare research agency with a new brand ready to launch

Synergy Healthcare Research is known for their unique level of research and marketing proficiency in the healthcare sector — combining deep domain expertise with a positive, proactive approach that has earned them a strong reputation and an impressive list of awards and industry recognitions over the years.

After working hard on a rebrand, the Synergy team were ready to implement it — and their existing website simply wasn’t up to the task. The site didn’t reflect where the business had got to, the navigation was confusing, the responsiveness was poor and the inconsistent styling was undermining the professional image the rebrand was designed to project.

They chose Suki Marketing to design a website that truly showcased their expertise and brought their new branding to life online.

The challenge

A website that didn't match the standard of the business

Synergy Healthcare Research had done the hard work of developing a fresh, professional rebrand. The challenge was that their existing website — with its poor navigation, inconsistent formatting and clunky responsiveness — was actively undermining the impact of that new brand every time a potential client landed on the page.

Our initial audit identified several issues that needed immediate attention. Navigation was confusing, with a cluttered menu and no meaningful internal linking to guide visitors through the site. The responsiveness was poor, with the site displaying badly on mobile and tablet devices. Styling was inconsistent throughout — fonts, spacing and formatting that varied across pages rather than creating a coherent, professional whole.

Beyond the visual and structural issues, the site also had no effective way to showcase Synergy's considerable awards history and industry recognition — one of their most compelling proof points, sitting effectively invisible on the existing website.

Our strategy

SEO and content working together from day one

We started with the foundations — a clean, well-structured website built to handle large volumes of content and scale with the business. From there, we developed a tailored SEO and content strategy, planning blog content and newsletters timed to peak search periods, including the summer months when Cotswolds searches spike significantly.

The strategy focused on building topical authority around the most searched Cotswolds topics — things to do, places to visit, where to stay — while consistently adding fresh, high-quality content that gave visitors a reason to return and search engines a reason to rank.

What we tackled together

Challenge

No clear SEO foundation

The existing website lacked the technical structure needed to rank in competitive tourism searches — no clear keyword targeting, poor internal linking, and content that wasn't aligned with what people were actually searching for.
vs
Solution

Full SEO audit and restructure

We carried out a comprehensive audit, restructured the site architecture, established clear keyword targets across all key topic areas, and built a content infrastructure designed to grow authority over time.
Challenge

Social following not translating to web traffic

Visit The Cotswolds had thousands of engaged social media followers, but these weren't converting into sustained organic web traffic — the two channels weren't connected strategically.
vs
Solution

Content strategy bridging both channels

We built a content calendar that served both social media and SEO goals simultaneously — creating content that resonated with their audience while targeting the high-value search terms their ideal visitors were using, no matter what their plans might be.
Challenge

Highly competitive tourism search landscape

Ranking for Cotswolds searches meant competing against major national travel sites with huge domain authority. Breaking into the top positions required a long-term, strategic approach.
vs
Solution

Topical authority and local expertise

We focused on building genuine topical depth — creating the most comprehensive, useful content on every aspect of visiting the Cotswolds, establishing Visit The Cotswolds as a trusted local authority that search engines rewarded with top rankings.

The results

Numbers that speak for themselves

Since we started working together, Visit The Cotswolds has grown from a niche local guide into one of the most visible Cotswolds tourism websites online — gaining thousands of impressions, clicks and new fans every single month.

Key takeaways

What this project taught us

Every project teaches us something. Here’s what the Visit The Cotswolds partnership reinforced about what makes SEO work in the long run.

Content consistency compounds over time

Regular, high-quality content — planned strategically around search intent — builds authority steadily. The results weren't overnight, but they were sustainable and continued to grow month after month.

Local expertise is a genuine competitive advantage

In tourism SEO, depth of local knowledge beats generic content every time. Visit The Cotswolds' authentic voice and genuine expertise gave their content a quality that larger sites simply couldn't replicate.

SEO and social media are stronger together

Bridging the gap between a strong social following and organic search traffic unlocked growth across both channels — each one reinforcing the other as the brand's authority grew.
