Instajet Private Jets: Taking a new app into the US market

Instajet had a smarter way to book private jets, but nobody in the US knew about it yet. We changed that with a refreshed website, route-specific SEO and a launch campaign for their new app.

About the client

A private aviation startup with a unique model

Instajet set out to do something genuinely disruptive in the world of private aviation - simplify it. Their goal was to create a transparent, app-based platform that offered instant, fixed-price private jet reservations without the membership fees, long-term commitments or complexity that had traditionally made private air travel inaccessible to a wider audience.

Their model was built around a “one flight at a time” approach, mirroring the operating methods of low-cost airlines. Most private jet passengers know exactly when they want to fly - so Instajet’s slot-specific booking process allowed them to perform significantly more revenue flights per day while passing genuine cost savings on to customers who weren’t paying for aircraft downtime.

The idea was compelling. The challenge was getting the message out to the right audience - specifically, business travellers in America who were ready to consider private aviation but had been put off by the traditional industry’s opacity and complexity.

01

The challenge

An unknown startup with a reputation to build

Instajet had a genuinely different idea: fixed-price private jet flights, booked by the slot, with no membership fees or long-term contracts. But it was a new name in an industry where customers spend large sums and only book with operators they trust.

The website didn’t explain the model clearly, the app was on its way with nobody waiting for it, and there was no search presence in the US, where most of its customers were.

02

Our strategy

Web design and content working together from day one

We treated the website, the content and the app launch as one plan rather than three separate jobs. First we refreshed the website and rewrote the copy for frequent flyers, so every page built trust and explained the model in plain terms.

Then we built out US route pages to win search traffic, and used the website, email and Instagram to build interest in the app before it launched.

How we solved it

Challenges and solutions

The challenge

The website wasn’t speaking to the right people

Instajet’s customers already flew privately and booked the same routes again and again. What they wanted was an easier way to book a batch of trips at once.

The old website didn’t show that clearly. The advantages of fixed-price, slot-specific booking were lost, and experienced flyers weren’t convinced it was built for them.

Our solution

A refreshed website written for frequent flyers

We refreshed the website and rewrote the copy around the questions and objections frequent flyers actually have.

We optimised headings, page titles and calls to action to show the value of the model and prove Instajet knew private aviation inside out. Within six months, enquiries from the website rose by 64% and average time on page doubled.

The challenge

An app nobody knew about

Instajet had a new app on the way that would make booking quicker and simpler. It wasn’t ready to launch straight away, and existing customers were used to booking the old way.

Without a plan, the app risked launching to silence.

Our solution

Building interest before launch day

We used the website, email and Instagram to tease the new way of booking before the app went live, showing existing customers how much time and hassle it would save them.

More than 1,000 people express interest via the website, and 35% of existing customers had switched to booking through the app within three months of launch.

The challenge

No search presence in the US

Instajet needed to reach private jet customers in the US, but it was starting from zero in a competitive market where established players already had strong domain authority. Its customers flew specific routes between US cities, and the website had no pages for those journeys.

Our solution

Route pages built around US search intent

We researched the exact terms US private jet customers search for and created dedicated pages for Instajet’s key locations and most popular routes.

Each page answered the questions frequent flyers ask about that journey. Within nine months, Instajet ranked on page one for more than 25 route-specific searches, and within a year organic traffic from the US had grown by 310%.

The results

From unknown startup to found across the US

Instajet came to us with no search presence in the US, a website that wasn’t winning trust and an app nobody knew about. Within a year, it was ranking for the routes its customers flew, website enquiries were up and existing customers were already booking through the new app.
